Hollow Tree

This large fire-hollowed cedar tree is located in Stanley Park in Vancouver British Columbia.
It appears that the tree is burned out from one side and that the car or horse team
is backed into the opening rather than being "driven through"

Stanley Park was a military reserve until 1887 when it was acquired by the city of Vancouver
it is located at Lion's Gate on the Burrard inlet north of the city.
