Located on Burnaby's south shore, overlooking the bustling Fraser River, this park offers 4.1 kilometers of
shoreline trails among trees and grassy meadows, plus plenty BBQ picnic sites. Watch for tug boats and fishing boats, view local farm activity and enjoy the kid's playground. Nearby is Riverway Public Golf
Course and Riverway Sports Complex.
This picturesque riverside park provides a wonderful opportunity to experience and explore the mighty Fraser River.
The shoreline trail is perfect for a jog,
walk or leisurely stroll. Log benches dot the pathway, so you can rest and enjoy a view of the marine traffic on this
busy waterway. Two trails take you inland -- the western route, surrounded by wet brush lands, leads to the Marine Way pedestrian overpass and the eastern route follows Byrne Creek.
The Fraser River attracts hopeful fishers, angling for Coho. Children enjoy fun and fantasy on a riverside pirate ship, and intriguing play area that is accessible to children with disabilities.
Pack a lunch and plan to spend the day along the Fraser River shore. Picnic tables in the shaded woodland provide a peaceful natural environment where you can listen to songbirds and watch resident squirrels at play.
Getting There: From Marine Way in South Burnaby, turn south down to the very end of Byrne Road.

本拿比菲沙河河濱(Fraser Foreshore)公園位於菲沙河北支，為本拿比與列治文市之間的沖積平原
(Flood Plain)。菲沙河河濱水流緩慢，豐富的營養滋養眾多的浮游生物，小鮭魚可以在此捕食各種軟體動物。菲沙河是全世界鮭魚產量最多的河流，包括五種鮭魚(salmon)與兩種鱒魚(trout)
。每年有上萬尾鮭魚洄遊菲沙河產卵。隔年有將數以百萬計尾小鮭魚遊至此河口地區，來適應其未來的海洋生活。秋季有流刺網魚船，在此捕抓上千洄遊的鮭魚。在此您可能看見菲沙河船隻往來繁忙的景象，包括各種漁船、釣魚船、運船木伐等，熱鬧有趣。
菲沙河河濱的主要植物有三角葉楊樹(Cottonwood)、赤楊樹(Alder)、酸蘋果樹葉(Crab Apple)、鮭莓(Salmonberry)、頂針莓(Thimbleberry)、雪莓(Snowberry)、接骨木果(Elderberry)、紅柳山茱萸(Red-Osier Dogwood)、黑莓(Blackberry)、九重皮(Ninebark)等植物。沖積平原森林位於森林與草原溼地的過渡地帶, 更提供許多動物最佳棲息場所，包括大藍鷺(Heron)、老鷹(Eagle)、麻雀
(Sparrow)。它們既可以在森林內築巢棲息，也可以到草澤吃青蛙、蠕蟲、小魚、與小蛇。通常河濱多為覓食植物根莖與種子的水鴨，如綠頭鴨 (Mallard)、赤頸鴨(Wigeon) 。河流中央則多為潛水鳥。還有各種海鷗(Gull)，它們是雜食性的動物。
