Green Club Mission:
The missions of the Green Club are to promote cross-cultural understanding of the unique eco-systems and
cultures among Taiwan Asia and Canada, and to educate the public about the importance of conservation and bio-diversity in order to accomplish the ideal goal of a sustainable ecosystem and human society.
Goals:
1. advancing a healthy way of living our daily life, 2. providing guidance to appreciate the natural history, 3. presenting opportunities to learn how to decrease human disturbances and impacts,
4. encouraging active participation in community environmental protection.
Services: 1. To guide natural walks and eco-tours, 2. To discuss conservation issues on radio and television programs, 3. To write conservation articles for community newsletters and newspapers,
4. To hold interactive multimedia workshops, 5. To provide environmental information, such as brochures of parks in the Greater Vancouver area and B.C., statement of environment report, and
conservation issues, 6. To provide educational references including posters, books, videos, and slides of birds, plants, and conservation issues as well as ways to keep environment healthy,
7. To cosponsor community environmental events, 8. To cooperate with intercultural and local environmental organizations and governments. |
